It looked like that car could have used them. I still remember taking Jay's friends on rides... 0-100-0 and hearing a few comments like "It felt like the back end was going to come up off the ground!" lol.
Yes, I'm getting excited for this summer Found a battery relocation wiring kit at Pro Motor in Goshen for $65 last summer, no battery box, though. My plan is a little different anyways (if I have the room). Going to take the idea from the Dodge Stratus, but on the rear of the car. Going to cut an access hole in the trunk floor on the passenger side between the rear tire and the rear bumper and weld up a box to weld in there. Keeps my trunk space up, keeps the weight of the battery low and still allows easy access to the battery. Then I can use that monster intake and N* TB setup I bought from jmgtp and the 96 top end.
Side note, following the link on Youtube to fullthrottlev6, I didn't know that car has the 96 heads on it too.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

no it doesn't have 96 heads yet. It has new guides on the 92 heads, with port work someone else did. I might...maybe...god I hope not...tear it apart and do the 96 heads. Im not fully invested in this car yet, as I want to sell it still. I just want to get it solid as possible without spending a crap load of money and time on it. Id rather do headers and ITBs over 96 heads right now:PBen

Soooo... when do I bring my car down?
I've two sets of 96 heads and 1 complete (minus DP back) 96 exhaust right now. The one pair I got at a junkyard in South Bend has about 50/50 of the exhaust guides fallen. The other set bought from a member on here has a few, but not too many I would consider them unusable. My friend Ian's cousin (the one that has the mechanics shop) knows a guy that does good head rebuilding. Probably going to take the better set of the two to him to have them redone, possibly with the BMW guides that were mentioned in a thread on here, and of course they are going to have retaining clips so they don't fall again. The other set is going to be used for porting experimentation. Other plans are new struts all the way around (KYB warranties on the fronts, c/o the 91...), as much as I hate it going to back to stock tires/rims for now to get it on the road (caliper modification to allow it on the front), battery relocation, 96 intake, repaint c/o a friend (only paying for paint), drop the engine on the stand that I got from you in and learning the art of tuning.
For now it's going to be concentrating on getting it on the road with this engine and intake how it is (except oiling update being done) and take it to Pro Motor for a baseline dyno session (3 pulls, $100) and to OC for a baseline 1/4 mile time since this time around the cat will be open-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
