You will enjoy them. It was the first weekend on my slicks (break in) so I was doing EPIC waterbox burnouts. HAHAHAHA.

My buddy still hasn't posted them up yet... ANYWAYS, can you guys make sense of why this engine makes soo much power ? I am just going to re-paste this here, cause I went wrong someplace...

        Online HP calculator :

Your FBOMB weighs about 3000 pounds and can run the 1/4 mile in about 12.32 seconds. This computes to about 317.09 HP at the wheels, and about 412.21 HP at the flywheel.
        That was at 5 psi...

My rough math before running the car gave me a ballpark figure of only around 330 at the flywheel at 5 psi... I'm pretty sure it's well over my guess of 330, and I'd guess closer to 410 as the HP calculator suggests.

These V6s just seem to love boost...

        Quick math : Stock 3500 = 202HP add 5 psi (1/3 of an atmosphere) 202 + (202*1/3) = 269 HP at 100% efficiency in a perfect world at 5 psi. Now all I added was a cam and I'm sitting around 412 HP...

412 - 269 = 143HP gain from a cam ?? I don't get it. Where did I go wrong in my math and why soo much power ?? haha

Every additional 6 psi added is roughly a 100HP gain at the motor according to my earlier calcs that well, are totally wrong now it would seem.

And to add to the confusion the turbo is not at all efficient at only 5 psi boost.

Not really sure what happened there at all, but I'm VERY happy.

        Comments ???

Obviously I mapped it wrong on here, if I'm making 412HP at only 5 psi.... :

so are we gonna see you on pinks in the 10 second shoot out?
I'm the same way....down the road I want to make turbo headers to replace the log manifolds. But the logs do quite well for low-moderate boost.

This is my 2-way collector for the turbo, I spent time and detail ensuring the two merged as smooth as possible.

Welding is from flux core MIG, so it is sloppy but I cleaned them up and the specks actually help the exhaust wrap to stay in place.

Both banks merge evenly at the same angle, the two extend about 1/2" into the turbo manifold to help flow. The squared end was carefully molded to shape for a smooth and gradual transition. The wastegate also has a precise merging at only 30° from main for efficient transition. Where the two meet it was ground to a knife edge and the short side radius was smoothed. I spent countless hours putting that manifold/collector together. I managed to get a mirror shine in the interior where everything comes together after the pics.

Mars, that is f**king awesome man! It's nice to see others weld up there own. And the twin WG is bad @ss, you should have very little boost spike if any at all. I'de love to see more.

Your 3500 should be roughly 200 HP at the wheels w/o boost, stock.

at 24 psi, which is 38.7 psi total considering 14.7 psi atmospheric pressure, is about 2.63 times more power.

Stock 200 * 2.63 = 527 HP at the wheels. If you are getting 650 at 24 psi then you must have added (650-527)/2.63 = 47 HP at the wheel extra, which is appropriate for a good cam, exhaust, etc.

              So you have 247 HP w/o boost. Then 24 psi boost is 247 * 2.63 = 650 HP

The turbo is spinning up really fast at 24 psi. If it were me, I'de back it off to 18 for longetivity and more reliability and only hit 24 psi on the track. 24 psi on the street is insane, but bad ass!

                  Very nice!

One thing, though. No mirror for weight reduction?

Keeps falling off, lol, I can't torque it down cause the little torx screw is stripped.

I should fix it though, cause most cars end up in the rear view. HAHA

So I went to Sparta for test and tune, got a bit quicker. 11.92, 12.02, 12.06 @ 8 PSI. Ran a couple of 12.2's at 5 psi.... All around 113-115MPH

I tried 15 psi and ran 12.0. It's cutting out really bad under higher boost. I think my plugs are fouled. The tune is better now, but still, there's a missfire pretty much anytime over 8-9 psi and it snuffs the spark. It never used to do that... Maybe my ign module is fucked ? Im not sure. I'll figure it out, then we'll get into the deep 11's

                            Likely the plugs...

What plug gap/heat range are you running?
