When I got my front plate cover, I rocked my front plate in the bottom right corner of the windshield for not even a month. I wasn't crazy about the idea of the plate jammed in my dash, I had some double sided tape lying around...and there ya go. I've never been bothered by cops. To boot, I've had it like that for so long, it's grown on me tremendously.

Yeah, for the next six months The idea is to do as much free modding as possible, gotta save every penny. got over three years left on my loan for the van, but I'm planning to have it paid off by April.. that's about 32 months early, which sounds really nice to me! more investing next summer, gotta get the van payment gone so I can afford this cobalt and many other investments! know a guy selling an 06 for 5k, no problems except prior cleared salvage title. fine by me, $100 a month for an 06 is nice for me Haha

So I'm about 90% sure you're the guy who works at Autozone and tried telling me I'd "burn out" Delco copper spark plugs when running them in my 3400.

Hoping that by now and by being here you have more knowledge than before.

My apologies if I'm mistaking you for somebody else

Must be me, I'm always pointed out to be "that guy from Autozone" where I live.

The copper plug thing, from what I know, I'd only seen boosted LA1 guys run coppers for a colder temp range for the FI setup. Going by your sig, I'm guessing the copper useage was for a colder spark?

I've seen that twice where I live. Told one of them, "Hey, buddy, that's a cover. It comes off," and look at me with utmost confusion. Went over to the GA and took the cover off right in front of them. They felt (obviously) stupid after.

Nope, I'm running the same temp range, just in the standard copper (R44's). I know the plugs you're referring to though.

When I swapped out plugs, the motor had the Delco Iridiums, so I just stuck with what was in there. Pt # 41-101. They'll work with most GM V6's, usually the 3800 motors.

Just curious, why copper over iridiums?

I buy Iridiums solely for the long life expectancy (like on my Trailblazer). I usually end up needing to pull the plugs on the Olds every 20-30K anyway for whatever reason- I can't justify spending $60 on a set when the Coppers work just fine for the application.

Haha, and that's why I like the iridiums, install, and not worry for at least 70K.
