    hey guys, im ryan im 17 and i own a 1991 cavalier z24 its my first car and bone stock but im thinking about rebuilding and boosting it or swapping in a 3.4 ans running a small shot of nitrous on it...my goal is to make it a 250-300whp daily driver (rebuilding the auto)
    '91, auto 3.1 2 12"s in the back, bone stock..

    future plans..turbo 3.1 or 3.4

    Welcome! Doing a 3x00 swap will get you a decent boost in power, and give you a better starting point in reaching your HP goals.

      yeah ive been debating on it..i think i might do it just so i have a better starting point..i was also thinking a 3.8 gtp but i dont have the money for all that yet..

          thats some good power NA, besides the 5sp thats what i pretty much would like..id miss the spoll of the turbo tho =/..that looks clead to..alot better than mine

            you should see it now.. there are weeds growing up into the wheel wells, spiderwebs all over it, flat tires and a thick coating of dirt and tree pollen on the top.


            That auto trans won't hold that kind of power without a serious performance build, when stock they are good for about 150-180 HP. After that they slip and burn up. the HM282 manual trans will take 350-400 HP all day long.


            Just swapping in a stock 3500 with a good exhaust and a good tune will get you close to 200 WHP with an auto. A turbo will easily get you up to 300 WHP with around 8 PSI. You are going to be breaking axles left and right and even built up that trans is going to fry in no time.

              no im not, this is the only v6 forum im on haha, so there goes my turbo auto DD lol and my GF wanted to drive it.
