welcome to the site! 3 piece CAI and a 2.5" Mandrel bent catback are your best bet at quick, relatively cheap power. that would be a good start!

Also look into tuning, as GM left a lot of performance out of the PCM in order to make it a good car for all people.

Glad to see you posted up Andre

I'm gonna ask for him because i'm curious. Just what are the tuning options for the 2000 grand am gt?

It's surely obd-II stuff so that takes any kind of chip out of the question right?

honestly ebay is your best bet for intakes. just makes sure its a 3-piece and has a K&N filter. Borla and Pacesetter are the only companies that offer full cat-backs exhaust's for Grand Am's. Borla is 2.25" and cost like $750 and Pacesetter is 2.5" and csot only like $300. Borla is a better quality and stainless steel, but Pacesetter flows better and costs much less.

As far a tuning options, a couple compnaies offer a re-flash for the GA's PCM to firm up shift points and get a little more out of your modifications, but honestly its not worth doing unless you have a couple breathing mods done already
