I was thinking more on the lines of improving head flow, improved cam work, DOHC swaps, and turbocharging to get the extra hp. I don't know if anyone has tackled D.I. or cam phasing.

Regarding the Mustang project, I don't know how much $ you have available to put into it. But is the engine bay large enough for a LS7 or LS9 swap? You can get a crate motor from GM with a warranty for not too much more than what some guys have put into their 60*V6 engines. Surely not as much fun though. But after you get some miles on that motor, you begin to tune that engine! What a beast that could be!!

The whole point of the Mustang project is to make it powered by a 60V6. Period. I do plan on making it the fastest street legal (barely?) 60V6 ever.
