  • Remembering the Beretta...

Some of the old timers will probably remember this video, but if you haven't been on the site for at least 4 years, then there is a good chance you've never seen this video... Here is a video of my old Beretta, pre-3400 swap, with my Crower regrind, OBD-1.5, and only through a cat (muffler rusted off, lol). Lets just say it didn't idle well, but sounded like a freaking beast. Enjoy!!

Here are the specs from my Crower regrind:

                Duration : 214* intake / 214* exhaust (@ 0.050" lift)
                Advertised : 274* intake / 274* exhaust (@ 0.001" lift)
                Lift @lobe: 0.302"
                with 1.6 stamped rockers : 0.483"

Honestly, its not that extreme compared to what some people are running nowadays. As far as the tune goes, it had none. That was just stock OBD-1.5 tuning, which of course didn't like the cam.

you could simulate a wicked cam if you messed with the IAC correction tables... make it jump up and down too far...

I'm sure my car would sound pretty close to the same if I set my idle back to stock... LOL
