Damn, Marc gave up his ITB's! Well I guess now he can put that turbo on the minus 1 now a little easier!
Dave, that's going to be sweet. Will the aircleaner box fit under the cowl? Looks like those velocity stacks have brackets already machine to accept individual filters or something to latch on. I could fit something like that under my cowl, if only the motor were turned the right direction!!!!!!! For now my cowl just helps cool the engine bay...sigpic New 2010 project (click image)

with a 4" cowl hood it should be no problem. I'm hoping to get back to work on it this weekend. I finished the 3400 swap into my old Cavalier and the new owner is coming to pick it up tomorrow so that frees up the garage till the snow hits.

I had originally planned to do a twin T25 and EVO6 intercooler setup on the MinusOne before I built the ITB setup but will probably stick with N/A using an Equinox UIM and 65mm TB. Maybe I will find a different project to use the T25s and intercooler on. The other turbo I have here will probably go on the 3900 in the MG at some point but I want to swap to a 700R4 first.
The flanges on the stacks were to mount two large oval filters, one on each bank but I never got around to making the mounting plates.
I am really hoping to see Daves Camaro at the 60V6 meet next year.MinusOne - 3100 - 4T60E

Looking at that build, the only thing that I can say is missing is a good "dual-plenum" set-up. Even fire V6's and flat-plane v8s are perfect candidates (hence the reason that you see dual intakes on ferraris and formula-1 v8 engines). You can achieve well over 100% VE on a well tuned N/A engine with proper runner length.
I can see where the ITB's have a bit mounting flange underneath the air-horn, theyre practically begging for it. You've spent this much money on it, might as well perfect it.Took a break from working on the car. Got some better tools, got a better shop, got a better job... Its time to burn metal!

I have a feeling that since the ITB's are mounted on a stock 3500 lower tuning runner length is going to be an issue. I was already right at 100% VE with the 3500 upper so we'll see how these go. as for air filters, i have pantyhose on them now.

Marc equinox upper is a good idea. 65mm I'm running on my small port 3100 without issue and it runs very well. If you stick to N/A you should make a filter setup like the areil atom car where it rams the air into the filter. That would be cool!
Dave, how much room do you have between the cowl and the ITB's as they sit right now? And where is that first fire video?sigpic New 2010 project (click image)
