Yeah the 3.4 bracket gives the most clearance for the alternator and TB. The 3.1/2.8 bracket needs some adjustment for it to clear.
Did you pay attention to the 3.4's alt bracket in the area of the external trigger? It covers those mounting holes anywways, so you could probably cut the A/C part of it off. Thaty reminds me, what are you doing about the trigger?
