try not to take it too personally but basically what you need to do on here is start with a word or 2, & search/read for a few hours. i now understand why people always were so nasty to me when id ask stuff like this & its because there are loads of threads with tons of good info for all of your needs, & after going over it so many times people just kinda get the attitude that "if you're not going to take -your- time & search, im not going to take -my- time & post a long in depth response (like the one i did).

just get on & search "turbo" in the pushrod forums & start reading, & then if you have a question search one or 2 of the key words from the question & pick out a thread title that sounds like it might have some of what you are looking for.

once you learn to do this-660 basically becomes a great big book on how to build/turbo/supercharge your engine-& then if you cant seem to find something specifically-then ask.

take it from someone who posted LOADS of bs already answered threads before learning the proper techniques for searching-& trust me i got plenty of rude ass responses because people on here that have been on for years, & who have the knowledge to help-just get sick of seeing the same questions asked by people who dont do a good thorough search first.

if you think im kidding-just search my username & watch all the threads that pop up...

also-on a final note-go to the left hand side of the page & click old articles & then click 3x00-it has a section on building your engine for boost-your crank & rods are fine but the pistons, intake gaskets, & valve springs are what needs upgraded/replaced to turbo-most of the rest is just for more & more hp.

kuntzie on tgpforums put down a smidge under 400 WHP with a stock crank & stock rods, which only differ from yours with small things like the bead blasting treatment & a coating to increase hardness (which can be done to your stuff).

so no you dont need $5000 in forged parts to turbo your car, but you will need to upgrade the weak points like valve springs, rod bolts, pistons/rings, intake gaskets, & a tune-that should have you ready to put out as much power as most non-big block v8's made before the LS6.

How does having the engine back further make adding a turbo to the engine any different? I still do not understand how it is relavent to the question at hand? The OP swears he has done tons of research on the topic, yet has still failed to answer any of my original questions concerning his goals. He is more concerned with items like "valve gaskets". He wanted to see a turbo'd Camaro, and I gave him links (which took a whole 30 sec to look for). Done his research, my ass...

And if you don't like my response or my attitude, feel free to report me to a mod, admin, or even the site owner. I'm sure I won't give a shit what I said in this thread... I sure as hell am not going to ban myself.

This website is for sale! force-fed-fabrications.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, force-fed-fabrications.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

Click on Project cars, then the 94 Firebird link for probably the wildest turbo build in a 60V6 F-body to date. Tiago pushed 336rwhp and 397 rwtq on a stock bottom end.

lol i didnt even read clear through that post because i saw it was giving you crap. i understand why hes upset considering hes new but he definitely chose the wrong person to say that to, & if he does some searching im sure he will find out how wrong that post was.

i am a bit curious as to why the OP started another account & made a post on the new account sympathizing with himself? not trying to be a dick but it does make ya wonder...

also-his username is in green, hes been here for nearly a decade, have 6k+ posts, & hes labeled the "site coder", which usually means hes new & doesnt know a damn thing... LOL

thanks so much i am doin research but wholesalers and mechanics havnt given me shit lol. I consider posting in forums research im only lookin fer help so thanks to those willing. The engine is sitting back making it hard to do anything from changing the fuel injectors to the oil filter that may be y there are no kits for the car thats y im wondering if anyone knows of a turbo kit or has done a custom job on the car.

no at this point there are no full kits-im sure someone would put one together for you but trust me the $$ wont be worth it-just take your time & do the research needed & put one together yourself.

closest thing to a kit would be to just go out & buy a tgp engine for $200-$300, relocate the starter to the opposite side, & then fab rwd turbo headers & custom motor mounts.

if you want a turbo'd one of these really bad but dont have the cash that may be the best bet-& that engines already setup to take plenty of boost with minor modifications & a good tune.

oh and forcedfirebird is who you should be PMing, after you offer up some sort of an apology to the site owner whom you told needs to do their research (kind of a big no-no, ya know?)-brad aka bszopi is a fantastic resource for all kinds of info & is extremely helpful & far from a hot head from everything ive seen, so that would be a good first step-second would be PMing ForcedFirebird about this.

turbo "kit"? no, there are none. its a DIY thing when it comes to 660s. there is plenty of help on here, should you be asking the right people.
1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

theres where 1 person put their turbo, it may be with a 3rd gen but underhood seems to be about the same size.

Contact Tiago at the link I posted above (forced fed fabrications) and I'm sure he'll point you in the right direction. Here is a vid of his dyno run I mentioned above...

John, forcedfirebird (on this site and others) is as knowledgeable as anybody I've EVER seen about ANYTHING to do with f-body cars... Turbos are his specialty. AND he seems like a real nice guy to boot!!... A PM to him might help clear up some things..
                                Good luck,
                                Tom...
