    Hello New Guy Here From Ontario Canada.

    Just saying Hi. Looking for some info on 3400 DOHC motors
    I just bought a 1994 Grand Prix GTP with a 3400 DOHC motor. I believe it needs a timing belt and I have no clue what Im getting into. Im very mechanically Inclinded and I believe I can figure it out just looking for tips hints and ne thing else.

    I built my other car heres some info on it.
    I have a 1997 Grand Prix GT-S/C
    List On engine mods
    l36 Block,Stage 2 Heads,S1X Cam,LS1 Springs,Ported Gen3 Blower & T.B, 3.4 Pulley Best Time 13.46 @104,2.1 60ft

    You mean 3.4 DOHC you crazy canadian...

    3400 and 3.4's are two totally different animals. Oh and timing belts in those are fun to do.

      So is everything else that is suppose to be simple on any other normal engine lol. My favorite so far with the 3.4dohc was the alternator of mine that died on the highway 15kms from the service station. What a bastard of a walk with my girlfriend bitching...and oh changing it too..wrench,check..sockets, check...Air wrench..check...LOL...

      btw, nice gtp there, I am also Canadian and with the weather in Nova Scotia I could never keep my motor that clean.

          Welcome..........that's a nice looking Gen 2 GP....and a coupe at that (and my favorite color)....any photos of the '94?.....where in *McGuintyville* are you?
