Welcome. We need to know what engine you are working with before we can provide you with any suggestions.

Ok, that helps out. Now, the next question - what are the rules for the class you are running? Does the engine have to remain "stock", hence the reason you are looking into rockers as an upgrade option?

i was reading on here about 3100 rockers being 1.6 i was told that it would wake up my performance on my 3.1 i am just wondering if im going to run into other issues

Probably the cheapest thing you could do is go with rockers from a 94-95 3100 (3.1L). They are 1.6 ratio versus your 1.5 ratio, and are direct replacements for what you have. That would give you a slight increase in lift on the intake and exhaust side, which will net you some power. Another item that would be good to replace, if possible, would be the stock downpipe. The downpipes on these cars are usually a dual-pipe setup, therefore the internal diameter is much smaller than it appears from the outside. By upgrading the downpipe, you will see some gains in power as well, since you are opening up the exhaust system.

There really isn't a stock replacement for them. It would most likely have to be a custom welded up exhaust pipe, which may not be possible for a "stock" class. There *might* be the possibility of gutting a stock one so that it is only a single tube, but it would still require welding in multiple areas.

Well, the downpipe starts at the end of the exhaust manifold, so the first section of it could potentially be in front of the firewall... Would be something to look at and possibly question your organization about. Or just try it and hope they don't notice it!
