  • Another new guy.

I'm new to the forum and to these cars so I may need a little help along the way with this new beast. I guess I should tell everyone a little about myself. I just bought an '01 Impala with the 3400 under the hood. It's bone stock and it won't be that way for long. What else to say... I'm 19, in the U.S. Army, I'm serving as a mechanic and had prior knowledge of vehicles and engines before enlisting. I'll be back stateside in about 52 days and then it's time to tear into the Impala. Any questions for me or ideas for the car would be great.

Yeah I'm sure I'll be able to learn a few things. I'm not real into the v6 motors in general but she's my new daily driver so I might as well have a little fun on the way to work.

weird how all us Jarheads end up together. Must be the implant the gov gave us.
sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.
