    Just saying hi. n00b here with a 2006 Pontiac G6 V6 with the LX9. I've done a few things to her. I've nicknamed her "skittles" for obvious reasons. I've had her dyno'd and she was putting 204hp /211lbs trq to the front wheels. (I dunno what that would be at the crank)










    you can see the paint in action. (the day I got it back from the bodyshop) I've since removed the chrome trim, the eyelids, and swapped the winter rims for summer ones.


    heres some of the mods I've done,

    house of kolor paint
    red faced gauges
    real wood dash kit
    real aluminum trim kit
    LED tail lights
    GXP hood
    18" ultra bright GTP rims (had them painted)
    Eagle F1 tires
    dual exhaust with GTR components ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJsA4-CviG8)
    K/N cone filter
    CRAB intake
    removed resonator
    ported / polished heads from WOT-TECH
    ported / polished upper intake manifold from WOT-TECH
    ported / polished lower intake manifold from WOT-TECH
    93 octane tune (converted back to stock tune for the moment)
    racingline street series motor mounts
    IAT relocation sensor

    and some other stuff I can't remember.
    1/8 mile time of 10.086 @ 70.72mph / dyno'd at 204hp / 211lbs trq at the wheels!

      and Forced, goped? whats the story there?
      1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

            i just meant that if i got a g6, it would be the 3900/6 spd combo. it does look like you've put some money into the car though. not the extreme retardation like a damn rice-a-roni honda, but its noticable in a parking lot/on the road.

              well I'm pushing pretty much the same power as the 3900 if that helps. could use a better transmission though. a 4spd auto with 3.05 gears ain't the fastest. Maybe one day we'll see a 3500/F40 combo........

              although the F40's have problems of their own

                and the reason i like the 3900 is i am one of the old-school believers of "no replacement for displacement", and the 3.9 is the biggest thing you can find that is a 60* V6..... well it pushes out 240/240 too, thats also nice. intake looks goofy as hell though

                  What problems have you guys been experiencing? My neighbor has an F40 waiting to go in the 350hp crate 327-powered Fiero (along with CNC'd Patriot heads, dual quad 550 carbs with progressive linkage, and roller cam swap) to replace the stock 5 speed...

                  Should see how fast this thing takes off in 3rd gear already o.0

                    alot of guys with g6 GTP's with the F40's have had problems with horrible syncro's in the transmission. One guy on the g6 forum, blackrider, had his F40 replaced twice and it still gave him problems. He got so frustrated with it that he got rid of the car and got a G8 instead. The rest of the transmission is fine though. Supposedly its only able to handle up to 280-300hp at the crank though, but I think it can handle a bit more....
