Hey everybody...I'm Mitch. I'm 18 years old and I love my 1995 Monte Carlo Z34. It has the 3.4 DOHC engine with 94k on it. (i already posted a few pictures on the 60V6 garage forum.) It runs great minus the infamous o-ring oil leak, which I plan on reparing sometime soon, but for now, im just going to keep up with the oil until I get the spare cash haha.

    I'm also a member of the site mymonte.com my s/n is mitch_09

ill probably be asking some questions about these quirky engines, so your help would be awesome thanks

do a search for the o-ring fix. Shouldn't cost any more than the plenum gasket; and maybe a small piece of heater hose, and the oring. Buy an oil safe oring and just slip it over the plug.

ummmmm, GTP091, have you ever done the o-ring on a twin cam? The rear head partially covers the oil pump drive, so the only correct way to do it is to remove the rear head.

      welcome to the site mitch.

haha thanks. I wish replacing that stupid oring was as easy as he described it.

I sandwich a Chevy 350 distributor gasket in between some silicone when I do mine. I've had good results with it so far.

don't you have to rock the engine forward and pull the intake manifold just to get to it?

a post of a complete walk through of this well known problem would be nice if somebody really knew what they were doing
