Hey guys!
My name is Grant. I'm from Lincoln, NE. Friends with AWeb and 95aquase.
I own a 99 Pontiac Firebird, 55K on the odo. Red, Y87 package. Great car and I take great care of it. I also have a 76 GMC 4x4 that I hate, time for it to go.
I recently sold my 90 Lumina Euro to my gf so that she had a car cause her 95 GP blew a head gasket and car was beyond repairable. Thats when I bought the damn truck, terrible purchase.
My new planned purchase is a 90-94 Z34.
I've found a few nice ones but some of these guys want way too much for them. The engines have 140K+ and they leak, some don't have A/C, etc...
So I am gonna buy a Z34 and make it the best dd. New motor, suspension, the works!
Thats where you guys come in! I need alot of help finding the perfect motor/trans that gives me great mileage yet great HP and TQ. I've heard of the 3400/3500 hybrid which sounds very appealing. I also plan on boosting the motor later once the funds build back up. I do plan to use a 4T60E but not sure what kinda abuse these can handle. The one in my old lumina is the original with 147K and slips alittle. FYI I beat the hell out of that car in high school.
So if you guys wanna help me build the most awesome dd I would really appreciate the opinions and ideas. Thanks!
