Hi everyone
Just bought a 1998 Malibu for 400 bucks. The previous owner said when she hit "resume" on cruise, the tranny dowshifted into first and the motor blew up. Don't know for sure. She had a replacement motor (another 3100) under a tarp she threw in. I don't know if it's any good or not, she said it was. I guess I'm fixing to learn how to pull a FWD motor/tranny... never done it before. I've pulled many V8s so I guess the first step is to get a good manual.
