Hi guys I'm new to this forum and I found your site while doing a search for performance upgrades for my car. Anyway I'm the proud owner of a 2001 Chevy Malibu LS. The car has been reliable and it has helped me get some good pictures (I do car photography as a hobby) Here are some pictures i took of the interior and exterior from last winter. As you can see i do put in dual heated seat cushions with massage heads to help make driving it in the winter alittle more enjoyable and i also put on a Burlwood steering wheel cover to help the wheel match the dash and the interior of my car better. I'm also working on putting alittle more fun under the hood and I will be putting in a new K&N filter once my old one dies

Thanks The seat cushions I have are actually two different models one has 6 massage heads and eight magnets and the other has 4 massage heads and a couple less magnets. Both have heat and both are pretty comfy though i prefer the 4 motor over the 6 motor for the drivers seat because the heads are less painful to sit on over a long period of time. I got the 6 motor model on sale from murrarys and the 4 motor I got from a friend of mine at my old work who soldered a cellphone charger plug to it to replace the stock plug (it still works). Besides the cushions I also have a radar detector and a supportive pillow (because the seats have horrid lumbar support).Last edited by GMfan1111; 11-04-2008, 12:26 AM.

I have a 3100 LG8 engine. With the car being up there in mileage (95,000 plus miles) I'm not going to do too much to it (I'll do more to a car with lower miles). However My goals for this car would be a slight horsepower increase, less sluggish acceleration beyond 60 and better airflow.

Just make sure you replace your lower intake manifold gaskets with metal felpro gaskets before you have a major leak. I think their might be a recall for your lower intake gasket. Also changing your oil on a regular basis helps.

As i said before getting my dad to accept the K&N filter over FRAM will be tough but as i stated before he'll learn that it trumps his cheap filters in long term value. And since i'm studying automotive mechanics at the moment putting these mods on will be good practice for me
