  • The adjustable Koni's did help in the area of lifting so I don't think I need the limiting straps... But I probably will just throw a second set of rubber spring helpers in the back to see if that helps some more.

Still trying to find time to work on the direct port system...

    • Most of my welding is done with 1/16" tungsten and 1/16'th rod, only use 3/32" to fill big areas.

Looks like you got a good start on your welding skills!

      • Thanks for the tip! My 1/16th rods are showing up today so I'll play some more this weekend possibly.

        • I guess I could add something to this, quick and dirty pipe cleaner proposed nitrous lines...

Still need to do some test bends to see what I can make work.

          • I like the NOS mock up.

I am considering NOS as a power up pre-boost. Is that a reasonable idea? (with appropriate controller of course)

            • I don't see any issue with that... I also have a progressive controller to install so that's another whole ball game for me... as well as now being able to use the TPS reading as a WOT switch and no more stupid micro switch to fail on me.

Regarding using it pre-boost are you wanting to taper it off vs add more as you go? so really you are just using it as pre-spool compensation? remember that power delay is sometimes a nice thing because it allows you to get traction, hence the reason why I need the progressive controller, I need to lessen the initial hit of power.

Some of the import guys with huge turbos (like Supras) use it for that.

Your right, too much power early on would kill launching traction. I'm already skipping along at the edge of traction at times.

my turbo is not big, lol. It is just right!

NOS may be another project for another day.

                    • Getting there... now I just need to copy all these tubes into Stainless and get some flare nuts for the nozzles... I'm also thinking of replacing the brass compression fittings on the blocks with ones that are zinc plated so they match the stainless lines.

While I was removing the coils and ICM from the 96 I found that the #1 coil post was EXTREMELY rusted... no idea why. I put grease on all the studs but it appears I either forgot that one or something happened to it to rust badly. I'm surprised it's been firing on all 6 cylinders with how bad it is. I'm also trying to find a place to plut the ICM and coils and I just don't know what to do quite yet with all the stuff thats back there already... I need to relocate the PS lines to give me more space because those already look like they are going to create some issues. Time for custom lines, I gotta send the guy I know at Goodridge an email and get some lines and ends at cost! lol.

                      • Spending some money on some professional tools to be able to make any and all pipe flares I could ever need to finish this project the right way.

I'm really going to love this tool, But I hate the fact that it's so damn expensive. I got this because it's the best one I've found that will do 37* flares, so I'm ordering the supreme kit that does all other flares and adding on the 37* die's so I can do those as well. It's going to be nice to be able to replicate the GM flare used on the body side fuel lines. I'm dropping $367.73 for the whole setup with extra die's

                          • Kits worth the money, used it on my car for the fuel lines, and I've used it on a few custom disk brake conversions on 60's cars. Pays for itself

                            Its runs!!!>>>Aint No 60* Sound Like Mehttp://youtu.be/YKEmNwa141U

I think this area will work for the coils too, just gotta weld up a bracket.

                              • Not bad , maybe a brace from the far left upper valve cove bolt to the underside of the coil pak for support and vibration
