  • the only one where you have more duration than me is the exhaust and thats only 7 more. same with your lift but thats 53 more than my exhaust.

    227 233 .050 dur 515 515 lift 112 lsa
    216/240 .050 dur .517/.568 lift 112LSA

dont ask me how it was done. its like a little kiss nothing to write home about and the valve was fine not even damaged. but those heads are sitting on the shelf now.

    • Yeah, well with those differences I didn't think you would have touched unless you were off a tooth or two on your timing at one point... Or your chain is as stretched as mine, but I know that's not true. and 7* duration is a good amount.

      • it could have been something from when it first went together. you remember how it sounded. something wasnt cool but ill never know what that was.
iirc every time i had the side cover off which was two or three time all the dots got lined up and i started with the 99 stuff from the beginning. even the 05 stuff that was on there only had something like 8k on it.

              • Shit.....I had my motor built with Sealed Power cam bearings also.
Screw it......I'll just drive it until it dies and then have Ben build it bigger and stronger.

                              • I want to clarify that's EXACTLY what my stock 3400 cam bearings looked like after 15k of abuse with my Milzy cam. There was NO pitting like all these sealed power ones have done to me.

Little update, here is my porting progress.

What I started with and did two years ago to gasket match...

This is what I have now, thanks to the insight of Dave and Ben.

Still gotta work it a bit more but for the most part this port is about done.
