  • The Lil Blue Car

Thought I'd share a few pics of what I've been working on the past few months.

    Started with this

Then I came across one of these

And I picked up some odds & ends

    The start of my manifold:

    Mocking things up:

    Added the wastegate flange

Then I started pulling things apart to add new valvesprings, bigger injectors, and whatnot

While it was apart. I cleaned a few things up and made em pretty again

The latest progress as of a few nights ago

well, it seems life has slowed the progress down a bit, but I'm still getting somewhere slowly but surely. Here's a few pics of getting the downpipe/exhaust made up. remember now, I never claimed to be a welder

Clean setup! After you get tired of that, throw in a 3400 and have at that! It would turn out well with your work and make more power of course. Your welds look good!

                      Thanks!

I've been considering a 3400 somewhere down the line.

I'm curious to see what a stock 2.8 can do with some boost shoved through it.

Here's where the other end of the muffler comes out. A short 45* + a 90* + a hanger + a tip and it should all exit where the factory intended.

A little bit of shiny for the outside

Mocking up the intercooler to figure out my mounting brackets

Finished mounting the intercooler and got my boost tubes in place

I still have to plumb the wet side of the intercooler and a few other things to make it roadworthy, but it should run tomorrow night
