tranny isnt on its way out. it only has 8000 miles on it. I just need to firm up a bit more on tranny tuning. dynocomp didnt touch that.

So you're just using all 3400 parts, you didn't do a top end swap?

Also, I was wondering if you could tell me where you buy injectors from...I ran a search here and in the store and didn't come up with anything. I assume you got them from somewhere else?

I am using all 3400 parts. whole block caboodle. only thing 3100 is the ported intake manifolds which are the same size as a 3400. I purchased the injectors from zzp.

Did you ever find out what the problem was you were having on the tune with the cold start. I'd like to get mine fixed. Great job on the Malibu!

what's your FDR? looking at the speeds, it looks like you have a 3.6XX FDR and ran it up in second gear, then shifted to 3rd. either way, what rpm did you start/finish the pull?

Dave--have you dynoed the car since you swaped to the 3.61 tranny? be interesting to see if the power band changes at all and how much power/torque you lost. you should loose ~8.3% acceleration/power going off of the math (252HP, 239TQ). however, now you are using the flat torque curve to accelerate. so even with a "power" reduction, the combonation is more efficient. --i think i sad that right...

Well, if he has a 3.29 FDR (which came stock in the GAGT), 6000rpm is good for about 85mph.....so I'm estimating 3.69 gears.
I'm still himming and hawing between the 1393 and 1280 grinds with my 3.42 gears.
