  • OBDI or OBDII ??

My friend just bought a 1995 MonteCarlo with the 3.4 DOHC is his PCM OBDIor OBDII?
I want to help him get started with some basic mods and am gonna start with Air Flow In and Out. Maybe you guys can help with some of the other Bang for Buck Mods to get him on his way to spending his family assets !

    Thanks

1.5 Swap a 96 harness and pcm in. The 95 you cant get a scaner for codes for under 1000$ And the 96 you can tune with the dhp tuner.

      96 Z34 3.4 SC DOHC Getrag, 284 5sd manual transmission, stage 3spec clutch, 97 engine, 97 pcm, S3 intercooler 1 of 1 Roots SC LQ1 in the world 8.5 psi.

        It's OBD1.

A 96 OBD2 swap requires the entire engine harness + some wiring and extras.

I thought those models depended on the production date?

Anyhow, easy way is look at the DLC under the driver's kick panel. 12-pin DLC is OBDI, 16-pin DLC is OBDII

I have a late year 95 Z34 with the larger front brakes. It still has the OBD1 connector.
