Just wondering if anyone has done this or not. What I'm planning on doing is making a true dual exhaust system for my 91 GTP. The plan is to get a couple extra rear exhaust manifolds and make one manifold with two outputs. The crossover pipe will still bolt to the rear manifold, but internally the rear manifold will be split, with the output from the front manifold going out the new output on the rear manifold. Then I'll have a dual system installed all the way back. I'm even planning on having two O2 sensors instead of having an O2 sensor in a crossover pipe between the two exhausts. To do the 2 O2 sensors I'm doing to make a circuit that both O2 sensors plug into that mixes the voltage signal, and then there'll be one output going to the computer.
After reading about header possibilities in the forums, I may try to have custom headers made instead of using the factory exhuast manifolds.
If anyone has any suggestions to improve this idea please let me know! Also, anyone heard of installing two O2 sensors and tricking the computer into reading them as one???
