    Quick questions.
What pushrod pistons will fit the LQ1?
Do any of them have roughly the same compression height as the 96-97 pistons(maybe with a dish instead of a dome though)?
Are there already any low compression forged pistons out there for the 3400?

I'm wondering about a quick low compression rebuild using hypereutectic pistons. I would guess that a quick and dirty low compression rebuild with the pushrod pistons could be done for under $1000. It wouldn't be nearly as strong as a built motor, but it might be good enough. The stock LQ1 seems to be good to well over 10 psi, with lower compression it might be able to do quite a bit more...

3400 have better quench height (.020 taller) with a deep dish. Id bet its too low though. 3.4 camaro have a slight dish. You think 9.25:1 is high though? Id get a set of DOHC pistons and modify them a bit instead of lowering compression a lot.
