NO
what are you planning on doing with the hypers?
theyre good for unboosted/n2o setups. or they work with perfectly tuned ones, however if you get into detonation, they're brittle and prone to shattering. i've got chunks out of my 402 to show that.

This is an old ass site. I don't know if they're still up and running.
If you go to the bottom, go to table of contents, and then to catalog information, it will tell you there that those pistons are hypereutectic.
Only .040 over though

I can get you a set of pistons. An NA setup is great for H pistons. Boost and nitrous needs a solid tune to prevent detonation, which is how it should be no matter what pistons you are using. Forged pistons don't make up for a bad tune but they let run the poor motor longer like that (unless its extreme, then they are screwed anyway).
I cost of DOHC pistons is a bit higher than the pushrods unfortunately. I think its about 220 for a set. I can find out monday if you want.Ben

I have tried to find the originals through part numbers but have had no luck. They are not listed in the catalogue anymore and im not sure if they ever were. 5 speeds aren't that common and I don't know if GM really cared to have those made after their first batch was made. Decking the block or heads or both will raise compression and .25 isn't really worth worrying about.Ben

These are stronger than stock, but are a bit more sensitive to detonation than other pistons. In other words, you can make more power and as long as you don't have lots of knock, they'll hold up better than stock pistons. I may consider using them boosted, but I'm not sure yet. I would probably just spend the extra $$ for low compression forged pistons.
"Dominating the horsepower per-dollar race.
If you're looking for pistons with an unbeatable combination of performance and value, Speed-Pro hypereutectic pistons are for you. These pistons are manufactured from FM244 aluminum alloy, which contains 16 percent silicon for greater strength and wear resistance. They're also molded in the latest permanent-mold technology to ensure the precise fit and tight bore clearances that today's top engine builders demand. They're ideal for use in high performance street, bracket racing, and oval track, and will work perfectly with normal ring end gaps."
