  • new injectors?

Ok well im pretty sure i need new injectors.

    1) is there a way to test them?

    2) what injectors fit? I have a power tuner so switching to a higher # is not a problem. just need to get them to fit.

    3) any suggestions on where to buy them?

replacement injectors from the part stores are like 80-100 each. Jegs sells 17,19, and 21# accel injectors for $200 a set. but i havent heard anything good from accel ever. ZZP sell injectors for the 3800's and mostly for the L67. but im not sure if they will fit my DOHC.

thanks for any help you can offer.

3800 series 1&2 injectors will fit the dohc - but they are about 1/8" shorter so you'll need to modify the fuel rail legs to lower them about 1/8-3/16"

i'm running 3800sc injectors on my dohc turbo

I would think go get some A/C delco injectors. The V8s in the 305/350s shoudl be the same size but offer more lbs/hr. Just beware not to go up more than 24lb/hr unless you are running forced induction (turbo, super)

oh, ford mustangs are another choice.. they have a slightly different spray pattern (bosch style). Accels are good only if you take them and have them matched. they claim no more than 1-5% diff.. i have seen +20 to -40% difference.
