Í have a Pontiac fiero 1987 v6 and I want to put a monte carlo v6 LQ-1 Z34 DOHC 1997 engine into my Pontiac fiero.
I want to use the manual gearbox from the fiero but the monte carlo engine has an automatic gearbox.
And here is where the problem starts: can I use the stock pcm from the monte carlo that’s an OBD2???
I have already heard al lot of things about it but no one can tell me what to do
some people say that I can use the fiero ECM
But other people say that I must use the OBD2
And yes they even tell me that I can use ECM#16196401
So you see I have al lot of answers but I still don’t know which one is the best ting to use (they all say I THINK you should use this or this)
So is there anyone who has an answer for me that does not raise more questions for me
