  • domestic performance 94-95 chip

Does anyone have experience with Domestic performance's chip at:

I hear good things about the ffp chip, but their web site says only up to '93 Z34 and I have a '95. Domesticperformance.com has a chip for the 94-95 3.4L DOHC for $299

Also, I have some messed up metal gasket that I have to replace on the EGR valve mounting bracket and I cannot find it anywhere.
Are bad things going to happen to my motor if I just un-plug the egr (besides the SES light going on)?

My car should be painted this week!!!
Next is fix the soft brakes; I hate abs.

The EGR will throw a code, and it might screw up the idle. But others have unplugged the EGR wihthout these results. I know with a FFP chip, you can have it disabled, and I did that. And it doesn't throw a code.

Their chip is untested as far as I know, and 300 bucks is outrageous. Id ask for a dyno sheet before shelling out that kind of cash on a chip. I also dont know anyone who has tuned a 94-95 car to even know what is possible.

I can't tell if it plugs into the module as an extension or is soldered to the board.

I wouldn't trust it by their discription, it is hard to say what kind of work this chip needs or what it will actually do to the engine.

It is possible for a circuit based chip to be able to control flow of the EGR if it controls other variables to fog the ECM default signal flows so it won't throw a code.

Controlling the EGR is not a very positive way to increase HP's or anything for that matter. Better off without an EGR anyway so why control the flow of exhaust back into the engine, its really not all that important but to burn cleaner for emissions. It is bad enough that they plug the exhaust with a cat so why would anyone really want to reburn soot laden air is beyond me.

To think that other countries have less emmision controls than that of America so the dent that the US implies on a worldly picture is very minimal infact.

Almost all of thier "Features" can be custom programmed so I would think.
