    Dunno if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find anything on it.

    what is the rating on the stock 3.4L DOHC injectors? and would going to a higher rated injector on a stock engine make any difference aside from bruning up my gas bill faster? What kind of mods should be considered before doing this?

    Injectors are amount the last mods

    Bigger Isn't Always Better!!!!!!!!!
    Stock, street driven EFI engines using an O2 feedback, closed loop control system rarely exhibit a performance gain simply by installing higher flowing injectors. During closed loop operation, the stock ECU will try to adjust for the greater amount of fuel being delivered. If the replacement injector is not too large (about 10 - 20% greater flow at most) the ECU might be able to make the correct compensation. If the induction system has been left stock and the ECU cannot compensate for the increased fuel volume, unburned fuel will all but pour into the exhaust. This in turn will cause the Check Engine Light to come on, the catalytic converter could overheat and many other problems will occur. In applications looking for just a little more performance it my be easier and more cost effective to raise the fuel system pressure to get a 10%-20% fuel flow increase at the injectors.
    Remember that installing larger flow injectors only has technical merit if substantial modifications have been made to the entire induction system. Plus, the stock ECU will undoubtedly have to be re-programmed for the increased injector fuel flow.

    There is some performance merit in matching or balancing injector flow rates among cylinders on a stock engine. This close tolerance is particularly useful in high performance racing engines where maximum performance for each cylinder is required.
    In a lot of the vehicles that we have done lots of modifications to, Injectors are amoung the last things we've done. To be very honest the injectors in our motors are very well suited for our engines and for performance. The dual spray pattern on ours does much of that.

            By the way

            Oh and one thing too!

            If I recall correctly our injectors have a flow rate of 24 Lbs/ hr.

              Great...thats pretty much what I had figured, just thought I would check and make sure. I do plan on putting a fender well intake on, but thats not likely enough of a change to warrent an injector swap.
