has anyone else played with the cam timing? because right now my engine is out and my auto is getting a performance rebuild and going back in, since i can;t get not synchros for my 284 5spd, and i wanna use the cool cam timing tool i brought from here, and i also got a bigger turbo to use this year too

I wish there was an uber-fast way to change the timing....

Because what we REALLY need is for someone to play with 3 or 4 of the most popular combinations and get some HARD numbers on improvement.

And the first person to quote DesktopDyno numbers gets a talc-slap.

DTD2Kx doesn't at ALL take into account the tuned intake on the 3.4... Which is what's responsible for most of the powerband. Interaction of intake pulses with the cam profile isn't described anywhere that I know about...

As far as I'm concerned, the only way to get an accurate picture would be to have it dyno-tested.

    *sigh*

    I want adjustable cam sprokets
