Aftermarket Plug wires

I am looking for a decent set of heli-coil spark plug wires.

MSD says that they don't have the right Plug boot to fit direct.

I swear one off my friends has a custom MSD wire set in his DOHC using one of the Import Plug boot styles.

I must have a good set or they will melt I think from the new ignition I am about to install.

If anyone has any information on MSD boot style part numbers or another company that makes a comparable wire set either bolt-on or needs assembly.

If you want the best--get Magnecor. They are about $175 though.

If you plan to have the car for a few years, the magnecor are definetly the way to go. Last set you would ever buy. www.magnecor.com is a good read as well.

Cool site, but where the world do they sell them plug wires??

All I get is some wired biography thing that is in german?? top menu bar has Home, Profile, downloads, links, contact...All wrapped into some page that resembles Yahoo chat with some techno music playing down stream.
One little link on the links menu that is an Email suppose I contact that link or??

Yah if you search on Google and spell it wrong, one of the sites is directly from Magnecor, and it says all of the different ways of spelling it and gives an estimate of your IQ based upon which one you used

I have the wires, I noticed no performance gains, but they look cool, and I needed new wires anyways.

Nick, the guy I got the 92 from, said that the Magnecor's he put on the the 92 (the 8.5 mm set) stopped the phantom stalling problem the car used to have. Not to mention they do look cool, and clean up nicely!

Did not fix the stalling problem on my car, but a new IAC helped tremendously.

Phantom stalling problem....kinda like ur car stalling when warming up from idle stalling or?!

I had Taylor 8mm wires from jegs for 60$ and now i have magnecore 8.5mm i didnt notice a diffrence at all so..

Most of the 5-speeds stall when slowing down for a red light. The idle dips low and then either pics up, or dies. The idle on my 3.4 was so unstable, but the new IAC helped stabilize it, but it still has its days.

Preformance gains from plug wires is a myth. The only time that happens is if your stock wires are crap. You can't expect a car with a stock ignition to gain HP by adding high preformance wires. A new set of stock wires would work just as well. How ever stock wires are unreliable to say the least, especially if you have a high output ignition. I have magnecores and I love them.

I dont believe so. The advantage of using high output ingnitions is more voltage. The OEM plug wires are resistor ones, that means that those wires DO NOT transport the power at its most pure form. Performance wires like magnecors use a low resistance core wire that let the energy moves less restricted, this means more power to the plugs.

If you wanted the least possible resistance why not go with a solid copper conductor? Or even better how about silver? Surely it would be cheaper. Does anybody out there know the physical reasoning behind the resistivity of plug wires?
