For starters, I'm not horribly concerned about the flow capacity of the 91-93 intake, as it seems to suit my purpose quite well.
However, I much prefer the idea of a removeable throttle body for a number of reasons; foremost being that my 200k LQ1 is starting to get a little slop in the throttle plate. Rather than spend too much time fixing it, I'd rather get the newer unit. Also, since the rest of the motor is being massaged, I like the idea of boring out that throttle body and getting a wider throttleplate for it. Again, easier on the newer unit.
That said, I should state that I'm still running the 92 EFI setup. It's been stripped down, and all the emmissions controls removed. All I basically need is the TPS, MAP, and IAC on the system. The MAP I can relocate (being in a Fiero).
Can anyone point me in a good direction for what's involved in the swap? I haven't held both intakes to be able to compare the two. I know there are some heater line differences, but these will be negligeable since I'm not running it even remotely like factory. I'm more concerned with getting it to bolt up and seal, and still having my IAC work (I've read somewhere that the 96 TPS is much the same as the 91-93).
