Does anyone have this number on their Rochester injector: 25173863? If so, what year is tne engine and is it the original injector for sure? For that matter, a junkyard '96 engine I have came with 17121882 injectors. I have a new 96/97 crate engine and bought a rail/regulator with new 25173863 injectors but had them flow tested to be sure they were right as the different numbers worried me. Seems they came in well matched but about 19 lbs. I plan to go to a dealer and pull a box or 2 and check their numbers if I find someone with the late ones in stock. By the way, I called someone who rebuilds injectors that I found on the internet and he says the 2 part numbers cross reference ok. I don't trust this info to be accurate. Anyone using either of these 2 injectors? Need to figure this out. Thanks in advance.

my old injectors are sitting at my dad's house with my 92 engine. I do know when I had one go bad that the new injector was a different Delco number. I did think that the 96 engine came with 21lb/hr injectors and the 91-95s were 19lb. I just put 24lb/hr Accel injectors in my crate 96 engine. No black smoke, haven't broken in the engine yet to really see what they are capable of. One thing I know recommend to everyone is that they test there fuel injectors for balance and flow. Amazing the difference when they are balanced correctly. One hint is buy two sets, keep the best 6, send the others back. And evidently GM spends quite a bit of money making sure the A/C delcos are balanced, new ones of those seem to have alot less defects and flow not being within 2%.2014 Chevy Cruise LT

I had the 2 different injectors flowed. The The 25173863 injectors flowed about 19 lbs. The 17121882 injectors that were in the engine flowed about 20 lbs. Another injector book showed them to cross refence ok. I don't think they're close enough to be considered equal Anyone have any numbers from injectors in an untouched engine?
