how close where you to the limit of the 42.5lb injectors? I have a similar setup to yours (in a fiero) in the tuning phase and currently have 36lb injectors in.. wondering if I am going to end up maxing them out

Congrats on the numbers. Looks like that beast should give you some nice times when it hits the track. Good luck with it.

Over $12K invested, and still its slow. Maybe thats because thats most all repairs. Don\'t knock the engine though, because thats the only part that has seemed to last.

yeah, the L67 is great, but an LQ1T should theoretically be able to produce more power ( i think a 3.4DOHC has more potential than a 3800 pushrod and you all know the beni's of T over SC, even though i still like Sc's better for some mornonic reasoning)

          me too.

I like the sound, the un-mistakable Hotrod looks, and the "Right fricken Now" power on tap, the super wide range of torque (especially with those heads!)

And one day I will have my garage to work on it in. For now, parts keep arriving for it.
And I do not plan on going with anything remotly resembling a stock bottom end. Infact, the oil pump is the only thing im not replacing. Providing things work out with the 3500 crank...

That SC'd engine is going to be awesome. I had a similar design (created in SolidWorks) and a M90 from a GP in my possesion, but decided that a huge blower sticking out the hood of a Monte might be a bit much. It should be PERFECT for a Fiero though. I'm just imagining 15+ psi from that blower, plus a built motor, plus equal length headers... drool...

Not sure yet where the limit on the 42.5 lb/hr injectors is, but once I do the OBD2 swap I'll let you know.

Im very impressed. I've seen a lot of turbo projects come and go, they dissapear without any true stats, like dyno numbers or 1/4 times. You have done the unthinkable. Make a stock 3.4 out power a uncammed turbo l36. That power band makes me want to jack off.

                Excellent work!

It kinda makes the Lumina worried im about to gut her engine bay... again.

                  Thanks.

FastZ34Lumina - I suggest you do as much research on your own as possible. I have tons of posts on here, mymonte.com, and w-body.com about my setup and also on my cardomain page. If you still have questions after searching, feel free to ask.

I have no idea. It's only done 2-3 passes on the 1.8 mile and it had the KYB's and Eibach's long before the turbo. The clubGP guys probably know.

tim has some good info. he is pretty awsome with helping out. i am currently working on a turbo for my z. i am rebuilding my block and ordering parts every day. as far as right now i have the 60 trim garrett turbo, turbo xs bov, jdm intercooler, and some other stuff. so i would suggest the same thing to you do lots of reasearch and dont rush it. especially becuase it is ALL custom.

Hey, this sounds very cool. In fact, it sounds exactly like what I want to do to my TDC, right before I dump it into my (vehicle type withheld temporarily). Is it only me, I can't seem to get onto the cardomain site. I keep getting errors.

Here's a question for ya. Turbo's love low compression. That's a fact. I've heard through the grapevine that you can use late pistons in the early engines to boost CR. If that's so, can you use early pistons in the late motors to lower the CR, or am I backwards?

Looking forward to actually seeing this car!

(I'm looking to Twin Turbo mine, but that's a buch of $$$ away...)

Here's the correct cardomain for the Monte

and the cardomain for the S2000

I split them a week or two ago.

No clue about the piston swap. I will probably do forged pistons once I save up the $$ for it.

Forged? Got a link? I've been unable to find anything but cast, in stock CR's. Admittedly, I've not looked all that hard...

Thanks for the links. I'm off to check 'em out...

OK, I can't really tell from the pics. Was there a custon exhaust up top too, or is that tubro plumbed into the crossover? It kinda looks like the crossover, with it spinning from 3 cylinders...?
