Am I crazy?

Am I crazy for thinking that the DOHC has alot of power and potential power? There are alot of people that say that the DOHC is not fast at all, but it is actually one of the fastest things I have driven, second to the L67 which I do not like at all. I actually think given the right upgrades the DOHC could be a 10 second car... maybe not though. Just curious what you all think.

So it can't be done? That would be quite dissapointing. I thought the DOHC pulled 14-15 stock but I could be wrong.

15s stock verifiable. Sure, you can boost it and do a lot of suspension and brake mods (as well as a ton of other mods) to get 10s.

Planning on it Just gotta get some money together first. I was planning on GT35R & a 100 shot nitrous setup for my main upgrades, plus a bunch of smaller stuff. I'd love to go beat a bunch of honda civic's out at the track, haha. Too many of them around here and they all look the same. There are alot of people who don't even know what kind of car my GTP is though, lol. I wouldn't feel the least bit bad about dumping $10k into my car though, I am really into the DOHC as an engine and I love the design of the older GTP's. BTW, you sure do reply quickly.

You will need to upgrade your brakes, and suspension would be another good idea. 10 seconds is going to need a built block and a solid bottom end. If you are serious about going all out, look into an aftermarket computer setup. You can do it with a 94-95 MAF setup or a TGP setup. I think I would go the SFI route though for something you want to drive around every day.
