Keep in mind that is a used crank that has been turned down 0.010" on mains and rods. You might want to get a garrantee that it has been checked for cracks, etc. The fact they didn't even bother to remove the crank timing gear would have me worried.

It hasn't been installed since the machine work was done. It is a used crank, not a new one. It says it is "fresh", but that does not mean "new". The Ebay ad doesn't make any claims about the quality of the crank, so the $3.00 insurance might not be worth anything.

This is just my opinion, but for the current bid price of $127 plus shipping, you could probably get a crank cheaper locally that hasn't been ground undersize. Or, a reman crank from AutoZone or Advance is in the neighborhood of $200. Heck, you might be able to pick up an entire 3.1 shortblock for less than that. Where are you located? I have a spare crank that I might be willing ot part with.

i live in florida. the cranks at autozone are218.99. i thought that a gm reground cranks is better than an advance piece of crap. you dont want a crappy crank especialy with a turbo

Its going to cost ~$45-60 to ship the crank. I know, because I shipped one about 6 months ago. So take that into account when deciding if its cheaper or not.

Nowhere in the ad does it say it is a GM re-ground crank. I doubt GM even sells re-gorund cranks...they sell new ones. He bought it from the machine/parts shop...who very well could have sourced it from the same reman comapny that AutoZone uses. I'll say it again, the fact that the old timing gear was not removed from the crank before it was re-worked tells you a lot about the potential quality of the product. I'm not trying to be rude, I just hate to see you spend good money on something that might not be worth it.
