Or just let a "company" throw some pipes together and make a hypothetical gain estimate and then sell them for alot more than it would cost to build them yourself.

And yes I said an LQ1 Alt is an easy job...Remove Axle Sheild, remove caliper and rotor, unbolt hub and abs, pop out axle and pull through knuckle (it fits), remove alt and replace. This job can be easily done on a jack stand in a driveway in under an hour.67 Olds Cutlass 2bbl 330 w/ 2 speed Jetaway

I know, this has been a subject of discussion on this forum, since I first logged in. (I think one of my first posts was about headers, behind the one of the DOHC having 275 HP, )Headers, headers, headers. It just gets old seeing "headers" being made that don't qualify. And no offence, but Aarons are better. Crappy welding and all. Colin has built the best I've seen. (Pushrod though)
Putting a Real set of headers in my car, involves a chunk out of the firewall. (Not a problem) That is why I said what I did. (About the altenator) I agree with Brad and The Raven. We have to build our own. Same with cams.
LQ1 came out in less than 12% of all GM cars with the option. I would LOVE to design the first Marketable set! Just ain't gonna happen. No money in it. Told that from about 25 E Mail replies from everyone from Hooker to Summit. Custom builders only, I have a list, and cheapest is $1200, and they need the car.
Milzy gets some good numbers, and I am in. I am close.
And now I change my signature....If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.
