  • Calgary Performance Shop?

Can anyone recommend a good performance shop to rebuild a 3.4 DOHC in the Calgary area? Hopefully one with 3.4 DOHC experience.

    Thanks
    Nolan

I hope it didn't come from Cam... the only LQ1's there are mine.

Is Lightspeed going to be doing your work? What have you got planned?

heres what I do know about Sourmugs engine.

Levi got the engine from Troy, who in turn got in trade from cam. Supposively it came out of a car that was wrecked in a street race in Red Deer.

I know this engine personally because i was looking at buying it before Levi. The price was too high at the time ($1300 or something) so I passed and told Levi to grab it. So Levi traded his Lt1 for it.

Levi was told by Troy that Cam said the engine had been "worked on"... with no real details beyond that. This was 2(?) years ago

Donk, I had heard a similar story as well.

Kev, I have e-mailed Cam and will be talking to him. I would like to know what he suggests for performance upgrades.

I've got a whole winters worth of work lined up with him. Four projects I hope to have on the car for spring. You should head down on a Friday night sometime. A bunch of us hang out there and work on our cars and throw then on the dyno. I think that this weekend may be the last though because although we've had some awesome weather up until now, it's getting colder.

And by the way GO FLAMES GO!

Hey i know this is off topic but if your doing headers this winter do you wanna let your exhaust manifolds go? I need some from a 96-97.

We should communicate more cause i need Cam to do the final tune on my car once im bolted up.

                      PM or Email is cool.

Also what did Cam charge to do your heads? I have a spare set of 96s that i could do.
