So you have to put the battery in the trunk to use this right?

Well, im not moving my battery for a cold air intake, so that is possibly an issue with other people as well.

well there is nothing you can really do about that. if i made it run down then it would suck in alot more heat. this is really the best way.

I agree, it is the best way. And IMHO, after having a true CAI, it was well worth it.

Hmm, i like it.. but of course I am in the middle of spending everything i have and more on putting 96 crate engine in my car

and of course, i would need on that fit a 96-97 plenum with a 92 body

i suppose price would be an issue as well. for a 94-95 CAI, the price is around 200 bux. kinda steep IMO. also looks like you are using exhaust piping there. at least spring for aluminum tubing. the diameter is a little small. the stock tubing is about 3 1/4 or 3 1/2. at least try to match it to stock spec if not bigger.

i made my CAI for like 75-80 and 60 of it was a k&n filter. although mine isn't as stealthy as yours since mine takes in air from the opening on the bumper but i didn't have to relocate the battery either and at high speeds it may be forcing a little in too.

try 120 for an intake for any 3.4 dohc with filter. as far as performance goes the cai does add a smige and i get a smige more at 60+ i think. i believe the extra bump may come with the cai in conjunction with effectively lowering your intake air temp signal.

there really is no stock tubing it is rubber. the tubing i am using is the mandrel bent tubing. it is a little thicker but does the same job. it wont dent if you drop it like the cheep ass intakes off ebay. and the price would be 145 for a 94-95. as far as the aluminum tubing goes the only reason the companies use that is probably weight. mine only ways 5 lb. and if 5 lb is to much then i cant help you

alright i tryed to run the intake down next to the battery with out removing it and it feels like the wiring harness is in the way. so I tryed to make one go down right where the accumulator is and it fit awsome. so i guess this could be called a medium intakebecause it takes it cold air but the exhaust manifold is right there. it fits good though.
