Does the 3.4L OHV or the 3800 have the same spacing as the LQ1? As far as width between exhaust ports.

I haven't looked closely at the 3800, and that would depend on what series it is.. series 1 is radically different than II and III, and IV shares with II. But I know there are NO shared components minus a few bolts between the 3400 and 3.1 (basically the same but manufactured differently). If your looking for good headers and it is a 96-97 go talk to milzy @
if it is a 91-95 you and all the other guys need to talk him into building one. I will want one in a few years when i put the 92 motor back in2014 Chevy Cruise LT

You may have figured were I was heading with this question. If not. Since 3.4 OHV and 3400,3800 headers are becoming easier to get. The price should be coming down a litlle. If the spacing was the same. I was thinking we may be able to weld new flanges to tubes. Still probable could with a little heat massaging.
I'm just not in the automotive repair industry anymore to see any other v6's to compare.

Just have to reshape tubes at exhaust flanges to fit D shaped exhaust port on 95 type head. But if your going to spend that much $$$ I'm sure he could make them with 95 type flanges to start with.1997 Z34 Monte,: testing 4 exh cam\'s, RSM STB, K&N, Eagle077 245/40/ZR18 Nitto Extreme

well, I was definitely thinking about some before the engine swap that is making me spend money I didn't even know I had. I haven't decided how "stock" I am going to keep my Cutlass. I know to really be worth something you really need the numbers to match and it be stock, of course who knows.. maybe no one will want one like an Etsel. Probably get a set from Milzy if I put the 96 back into a different car.
Is anyone really making a good set for those poor shlucks like me who got stuck with an automatic?2014 Chevy Cruise LT

Aaron - your credibility when it comes to headers was shot down when they were revealed to be full of pinholes, and that you cut away part of the car to make them fit. The thread is on here somewhere. A for effort, D for execution.
Second of all, your credibility and the way you conduct yourself in general has become the subject of many, many jokes. Perhaps you simply have a unique and poorly understood sense of humor?
Take the above into account, and people get irritated when they ask a legitimate question about a legitimate idea and get a pissy, opinionated answer, instead of a good technical discussion or even a educated guess as to why. Because they aren't your headers, doesn't mean that somebody's car is going to Hell. Ever consider the possibility that somebody makes good headers for the 3.4?
Just stay away from my TDC, ok?

It doesn't take a genuis to realize why his headers could be worse off than the manifolds. The only way they are better than mine is that they suck so much that they don't affect the stock ECU in the least. My computer didn't know what was going on, and was too confused to get a steady A:F ratio between runs (It differed from 9:1 to 13:1 between runs with identical setup). He uses 2" primaries (Take note I don't even use 2" primaries on our BLOWN 406ci small block), doesn't use collectors (He Y-s 2 primaries, then takes that pipe and Y-s it with the last primary, all the while without increasing diameter). Even the factory manifolds increase diameter as they collect more cylinders. They aren't even close to equal length, they leak so bad that the owner doesn't want them on the car, and they fit almost worse than mine do. He has leaks at EVERY junction. Yah, I have a few pinholes (I counted around 8 when it left), but where I mate the headers to the downpipes, where they meet the heads, there are no leaks.
But I'm glad you can give me a grade on something you've never seen in person, touched, examined, or driven. Becuz everyone that has has had very little to say. They aren't perfect, but they are the best yet.
