...and I have a few questions. I can get LS1 rockers for like 300.00. Should I do it? They come in 1.8. I believe they are 3/8 or 5/16 nut. Am I throwing away my money?

You would definitely be throwing it away on a DOHC motor.
Let's see ... 24 valves ... 16 rocker arms ... OOPS My motor doesn't use rocker arms! D'Oh!
