Went to a local muffler shop today and got a pair of Magnaflow mufflers. Just mufflers thats it kept the cat and resonator. Going back next week for new cat. I will try to get a sound clip of my car up soon. I really enjoy the sound.

I will stay with my Borla setup. It has served me well. Quiet and throaty at idle, barks like a Pit Bull at WOT. And I can still hear the stereo.

And I have a fat ass Cutlass in 15s. Credit to Ben. Ah...we're workin' on it.

I think I am going with a Carsound cat, 2.5" all the way out, resonator of course, and a single Borla on the passenger side to see how it sounds.... Whats the worst that could happen? Oh, I don't like the sound and look? OK, back to the shop I go with another Borla in my hand and pay to have it added in to complete the fake dual setup

Why do that? why not place it farther forward and run a splitter and long pipes out to both sides?

Consider ground clearance... Unless you cut out the cat and put a muffler there... wouldn't work. There's no room to run two pipes.

Because he can. What would he lose? If he doesnt like the sound he can just go back to the shop and have them add another muffler.

well, that is the way borla built there system until they discontinued it. It came right off the cat, into a resonator, into the muffler. Then it dualed out and split to two tips at each side.

seemed pretty brillant to me.. alot more flow and sound unless you are making like 450hp.. and i don't think anyone without a major turbo is doing that.

                  exhaust setup?

that'd be a turbo with a 3" downpipe through a compact 3" highflow cat and split to two 2.25" tube mufflers and out the back

i'll take a sound clip after I finish TIGing the intercooler end tanks

Here are some pictures of my Magnaflow Catback. They hang low but most of us know why.... I hate the rear bumper. Sounds awesome btw.
