Actually it's quite common in smaller race cars to have your shocks inbound of your wheels and not vertical. ON our Formula 500 car, the rear shock are actually almost horizonal going toward the middle, and those are only simple oil filled shocks with rubber pucks.

I painted in the connecting rod, the blue is the rod, and the red circles are the rod ends.

been talking with a wheel company for the last couple weeks about using my car in their booth at sema. Talked to them again yesterday, and they seem to be sold on the idea now, hopefully I can get this deal sealed up soon, and then the car will be DONE by october

Props dude. That is the most splendiferous thing that i have ever seen. The thing that makes me like it is the LQ1 sitting up there. I like how you chose that motor over something like an SR20 nissan motor or some 4 banger. That thing is going to be insanely sick. I cant wait to see more pics of it soon.
