Well, since I still don't have anything to measure off of, I decided to just start drawing up a generic gear just to make sure I know exactly how to do it when I get some actual measurements to go off of. So here is a quick preview of what I've done so far. Yeah, the pic is big, but I wanted to make sure the timing marks showed up.

I have a complete cam set off a 91 LQ1, I'd give the up for research.

hey, i got back from the junkyard today and got to remove some from a 91-93 and a 94z. don't bother with the 91-93. they were such a pain to take off and
i think i damaged some of them during removal i thought i was going to rip the cams out of the carriers be4 those gears let go. i was taking them up and i
spotted a 94 the give away was the engine cover saying 3.4 DOHC instead of tdc or twin dual cam.

the 94 was like butter, took the washer off and they slid off like nothing(maybe 1 light tap of the hammer to negotiate). i also think the 96-97 gear setup is
identical to the 94-95. i will make comparisons tomorrow to the 96-97. but i didn't have enough time to extract the drive gear today, it kept turning the engine
over so i will have to go back tomorrow and take the starter off and stick a screwdriver or large bolt in the flexplate or something to stop the engine from
          turning over.

i know what you are thinking but i was so focused on getting the gears and a spare wp pulley i did not check to see if they were manual or auto. I will go back
tomorrow and have that pertinent info.

Well I had no problem getting my 91 cam gears off, anyway still I would ship them free even for research.

Yeah, I got them on Friday. But my wife misplaced my dial indicator. So I either need to find it or buy a new one before I can start drawing anything up.
