  • Which is chip is better

I know you guys are tried of hearing this but I could use some help. What performance chip would be best for a 95 grand prix 3.4. I read some of the earlier topics and to be honest Im little confessed. I know they make already programed chips for my car (like hypertech) but will a reprogramed chip do the same thing and if they do can any of you guys reprogram a my chip.

somebody will correct me if i'm wrong but from what i've seen, '95 and '96 were the years of the obd 1.5 system. basically the hypertech chips do nothing unless you've already got some mods. At least that's what i've been told.

94-95 were OBDI (err "OBD1.5") .. 96+ are OBDII .. Best bet is to wait a lil longer and buy Ben's (SappySE107) chip .. From what I gathered, he hasnt had a test mule for it yet. I heard all the other "performance" chips are crap.

      Good luck

Well, right now its looking like spring time, unless my friend gets one to do work to, in which case I can get a start on the testing sooner.
