READ my crazy intake idea pt2

I don't plan on impleminting this idea or even researching t anytime soon b/c i have enough work to do.

but i have a very rough sketch of making a new plenum that has 2 tb's and the design is similiar to a honda civic intake manifold where it has tubes for runners and they all go into a larger tube on which the tb is connected.

i think it is pretty ambitious and exotic. just lmk what you guys think and perhaps what numbers i should crunch to get a correct runner length.

mainly i want the 60v6 community's opinion on it more than anything at this moment.

So, something kinda like this, except with 2 TB's? (This is for an iron head engine). Nothing real exotic about it. I don't think using two plenums and two TB's will gain you anything over a comparable setup with custom runners and single plenum, other than a headache of throttle linkages and IAC plumbing.

wow, pretty resourceful. it took me a sec but that is a bottom 1/2 of a 2.8 intake, isn't it?

as far as linkage, i was just going to run a steel shaft from one to the other so they open the same amount. there isn't anything to throttle linkage. as far tps sensor i would just hook them up on one of the tb's and iac i was just thinking about splitting the wiring in a paralell setup.

i wouldn't even begin on this until late this year or next year if i don't scrap it altogether.

ferrari does it, i love ferrari's. having 2 plenums can effectivly double the plenum volume, doesnt that help in the top end? it sounds like thats all the tdc motor are good for anyways. i cant see it having a negative impact unless your like me and dont wont to sacrifice any low-end.

did you make that iron head manifold? if not, where the hell is everyone finding this crap?! i looked everywhere a few years ago and came up with diddley.
