  • 95+ intake manifolds

can someone give me directions or send me somewhere to learn how to put these intake manifolds on a 92Z, are there any other parts that would help with making some power, id like to try to get this car into the 14's, its an auto

    Tranny work is best.

The intakes are 96+, and they will slow an auto down int he 1/4mi since they are made for high end.

go to www.fastfwdperformance.com, they sell a few things that will help.

try putting 94-95 cam carriers on. they are easier to time and i think they are responsible for about 5 hp or so. only if you can set them cheap. 14's????? u mean high, mid or low. u can get high 14's with quite alot of nickel and dime mods but it won't be easy.

i think auto's run high 15's stock 15.8+ that is on a good engine 50k or less.

as for mid-low 14's. 3 ways that will happen forced induction, n20, or alot of nickel and dime mods with a nice set of headers.

i would try the following to get you high 14's make a homemade CAI(about $75 if you use a k&N), get a stall converter($200-$450), get a little tranny work done($300+), since you have a 92 get a chip($50-$300), cat gut(free), high flow resonator(about $50 installed) and get some headers($450-$600)

other easy mods to consider that are cheaper ud pulley(about $85), a dogbone(about $65), 13* cam retard(free minus the cost of tools which can be recouped)

if you do all these mods i am sure you will be in the 14's somewhere.
