Well im planing on doing alot of work to my engine 3.4dohc and was not sure of what to port and polish and what not to port and polish without messing something up. I will be doing the porting and polishing myself and have all the tools to do it with, just needed alittle info on what to do and/or not to do

Ok I have anouther question.. My engine has almost 190 thousand miles on it..Is it worth the time and money to rebuild it.

What all do you plan on doing to it? If it has that many miles, I would plan on boring it out atleast .010, if not .020 over.

How much do you plan on spending on this whole project?

I wanna soup it up a little, Its getting kinda boring. I plan on putting a nice chunk of change into it..Going to take it all apart and clean and/or replace old parts with more proformance parts..

Thats what I like to hear. You will definately want to bore it over. It's up to you how much you want to do it, and you will have to find someone to make you a set of custom pistons.

I would fully port and polish out the heads. 3 or 5 angle valve job is a pretty good idea too. Also, for better airflow, go with 96-97 intakes.

Do you plan on higher compression, or just keeping it where it is right now?-

I am not to sure what I am going to do for compression right now..What would be the best way to go. I've heard that putting a 96 plenum on a 95 will make it lose low end witch it dont have much of right now anyway..

Do you plan on going auto or manual? If it's a manual, go with the intakes. Auto, I guess its up to you. I'm doing the intakes on my auto, but I also have a nice amount of tranny work done too.

I was looking into gettin a manuel but I would need to find all the parts and the trany. They are not easy to find

If you do go with a manual, i wouldn't worry about losing low end power.
