lol, I wish, and I bet you all do to...But I can't do it, not at this point in my life.
You should probably stop telling everyone on the Fiero Forum you are going to make headers to sell, if you can't do it. Wait until you have them built, and ready to sell, then start advertising them...they will sell like crazy, if they are priced right. Too many people get everyone excited with a new product that never materializes, and all they are left with is talk. You don't want to be one of those people.

Your headers/exhaust look really clean, and they look as if they fit well. The headers don't seem like they would do too much for performance, but they look really good. That is one of the routes I'm considering for the exhaust. 2 others have crossed my mind, mainly to keep exhaust lengths short. The first is going over my tranny, and then to a Camaro style muffler. Basically like yours, but toward the back of the car. The other is to wrap over on the other side, the accessory side of the motor, and then go down to a muffler. I will have to size it up later on and see tho, I can't do this without a car obviously.
Although they aren't equal-length long-tube headers, they will still outflow the stock cast manifolds.
DreX,
Nice work....I saw the build pics of these over on Pennocks.....this finished product looks awesome. I really like how you packaged the flex joint and resonator. Just one issue I see: it appears that there is an O2 sensor boss on the underside of the Y-pipe. This is bad for the sensor. They need to be mounted with the body of the sensor pointed horizontal or higher, so that water vapor in the exhaust doesn't collect in the sensor tip and destroy it.

I decided to go shorties by 2 reasons, space and boost in the future. Equal lenght headers are for NA engines. My goal is to boost +-22psi and for that I have to rebuild the engine. Since My engine was a crate, boost is out of the picture by the moment. So, was better to build the shorties and the when boost the engine I can reuse the headers and just make the crossover pipe to fit the application. As for performance they are not bad as most ppl think. There is a misconception about shorties. And is about the collector. If you look at any magazine or parts book like summit must of the collectors are really short and that creates turbulance. Thats not good in a exhaust, actually doesnt make good numbers on a dyno. The collectors I bought where build to improve and promote high flow and low turbulance, this will enhance the air flow leave more quicker so more hp numbers will be achieved. Also the remaining exahust is free flow with mandrel bent pipes. Enhance further the exit of the gases. Dont get me wrong, for NA engines the best numbers are by a equal length headers. But thats a real pain to do in a Fiero and cant use a turbo with them.
The engine really shines above 4k rpms. It changes the sound from a normal engine to a Nascar like 1. heheh. When put the car back to the street I will record some wavs and post them.

Didnt know that. But there wasnt many options.
I had it before where the flex is right now but the crossover cracked. LOL Even that the engine is mounted in 2 solid mounts and the tranny is on poly mounts. Damn engine, likes to pull hard.. LOL
